Twin Cities PDC Local 7019, APWU
Nominations for the offices of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Legislative/COPA Director, and Research & Education/Organizing Director will be accepted from the floor at the March 2025 General Membership Meeting (GMM) at the date, time, and place indicated below. The term of office will be for two (2) years beginning June 1, 2025. Per our Constitution, candidates elected as President and Vice-President will also serve as delegates to the State and National APWU Conventions held during term years.
General Membership Meeting
Date: March 19, 2025
Time: 12:00 noon – 1:00 pm
Place: Room 307. A ZOOM link will also be made available prior to the GMM for those who wish to continue to attend remotely.
Nominations shall be made in either of the following methods:
A) On the floor of the March GMM Meeting (the GMM Meeting immediately prior to the election meeting), or
B) Written nominations mailed to the Secretary must be received by the date of the nomination meeting. Emailed nominations must be received no later than 30 minutes prior to the nomination meeting.
ELECTION
If there are multiple nominations for any office, the election of officers for the Twin Cities PDC Local 7019, APWU, will be conducted via absentee balloting for all members in good-standing. The following dates will be the time frames for consideration:
March 26, 2025 – Absentee Ballots will be placed in the mail stream.
April 8, 2025 – In-person voting in Room 207
April 9, 2025 – All ballots must be received by the Local for counting.
April 16, 2025 – April GMM where results will be revealed to the membership
May 21, 2025 – May GMM where new officers will be sworn in.
June 1, 2025 – New officers will assume the 2025 – 2027 term of office.
In the event that only one candidate runs for any/all offices, that candidate may be elected by acclamation as a “white ballot” candidate (unopposed candidate).
